Happy 4th of July! I hope you’re having a great day. This past Sunday was round 6 of J Day Off-Road series. This race was held in Cheshire, MA. This track is known for being a very technical woods course in good conditions. This year there was plenty of liquid sunshine, so everything was muddy, rutted, and slick.
Team Riders:
Brandon Gregoire #913 – Pro 125 & AA – LBR Moto is very happy to announce the newest team member! Brandon is a great rider and we are looking forward to working with him. The competition was stacked this weekend with 2 factory backed pro racers and several regional pros on the entry list. Brandon fought his bike setup a little bit in the mud, but he still had some great rides. In Pro 125 he finished 3-3 for 2nd overall and in AA he finished 9-10 for 9th overall.
Nate Marr #84 – A Open – Nate had a great day at the track. He found a good flow and was able to settle in towards the front in the first moto. In moto 2, Nate knew he could improve on his finish from the morning. A bad start didn’t help, but a little luck and a lot of determination led to the moto win! Nate finished 5-1 for 2nd overall.
Jon Gagnon #105 – A Vet – It seems like Jon can’t buy a break this year. Another rider fell just before the first corner and his cartwheeling bike hit Jon right in the chest. Luckily, Jon just got pretty banged up, but he is otherwise ok. He finished that moto but sat the next one out. Jon finished 13-DNS for 14th overall.
Jared Drouin #333 – A Vet – Jared admittedly hasn’t been able to get the seat time that he wants. He also wasn’t fully prepared for a mud race with his bike setup but he still gave it his all. In moto 1, Jared made sure that Jon was ok and rode with him at the end. In moto 2 Jared fought through the arm pump and got into the top 10. He finished 14-10 for 10th overall.
