Hello,
This past Sunday, in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, was the 8th round of the 2023 GNCC series. Unlike the last few rounds of racing, it wasn’t a complete mud bog. The Sunday before, 5/28/2023, was the 4th round of J Day Off-Road in Huntington, MA. It was the first all woods race of the series, with no motocross sections of the track. I am a week behind on the J day portion of this race report because of a broken computer.
Team Riders:
-GNCC-
Colton McQuarrie #34 – 85 Big Wheel (11-15) – After another extremely muddy race and a bike that went completely under water, Colton was due for a little bit of good luck. He got it in the form of some nicer weather and a much more forgiving track. He was able to keep his head down and battle up at the front for the whole race. Colton finished 2nd.
-J Day -
Nate Marr #84 – Pro 125 & A Open – Nate will be the first to tell you that his season is starting off a little slow, but he is working hard and moving things in the right direction. He has had a couple of setup issues with his bike and jumping from races like a mudder at Southwick, to dry and fast Unadilla, to a traditional woods race in Huntington, haven’t helped him much. He stayed in it the whole race and gained some more track time and setup tweaks, as well as some more points. Nate finished Pro 125 15-14 for 15th overall A Open 18-16 for 17th overall.
