2022 J Day - Round 7

Hello,

I hope you had a great 4th of July. This past Sunday was round 7 off the 2022 J Day season and it was held at Crow Hill MX in Baldwinville, MA. There were plenty of spectators because of the holiday weekend and there was a lot of action and great racing on the track.

Team Riders: Nate Marr - Pro 125 / A Open - #84 - Nate had his 125 back in action with some fresh tires, fresh tubes, and a spare set of wheels. The 125 class had an influx of seasoned small bore specialists at this race. One of them being past LBR Moto rider Beau Viens. These extra riders didn't make things easy for Nate but he went to work and had some good battles, trading positions several times. On the bigger bike, Marr is continuing to gain momentum. He had a great race and he ran up front and fought it out in both motos. At the end of the day he even managed to find himself on the podium! Nate finished 12-12 for 11th overall in Pro 125 and 3-5 for 3rd overall in A Open. Jon Gagnon - A Vet - #105 - Jon had a couple really good starts in his motos and he did a great job holding his own in a class that looked more like a brawl than a race. It seemed like the top 3 riders swapped positions in every corner and the rest of the field was not too far off. Jon kept his head down after 1 soil sample and a few tears in his jersey to finish 6-8 for 7th overall. Jared Drouin - B Vet - #333 - Jared had arguably one of his hardest fought races of the season so far. Leaving the line 2nd from last he had a lot of work to do. He made it all the way up to 7th before he too a pretty hard hit in the woods and fell out of the top 10. A much better start in the second moto helped but most of his energy was spent and he was feeling a bit sore from moto 1. Jared finished 14-11 for 12th overall. Support Riders: Cory Desrochers - B Vet - #556 - Cory had some great starts but a crash on the motocross section of the track took the wind out of the sails. He finished 11-15 for 13th overall. Colton McQuarrie - Mini A - #34 - Colton missed the last round of J Day so that he could be prepared for the Snoeshow GNCC race. That decision paid off because he won and was able to lock up the 85cc 7-11 class championship! (Way to go Colton!!!!!) Missing the J Day round caused him to fall back to 2nd in points but he's back to work and doing what he does. Colton finished 1-1 for 1st overall.

Thanks for reading!
