Hello,
I hope everything is going good. The J Day Off-Road Series ventured out of New England to visit Unadilla MX in New Berlin, NY. It was a 2 day event, hosting rounds 2 and 3 of the 2022 series. Here is how it went.
Team Riders:
Nate Marr - Pro 125 / A Open - #84 - Day 1 - Nate had good Saturday of racing. Nothing huge to report, just some of the normal fighting for position and getting used to the 125 on the Unadilla track. Nate finished 17-13 for 15th overall in Pro 125 and 6-8 for 7th overall in A Open. Day 2 - Ringing the 125s neck a little more, Nate better his results on Sunday. The ever trusty YZ250 was getting the job done all weekend even with the shift lever stripping out and only having 3rd gear in all of most pf moto 2 in A Open. Nate finished 10-11 for 10th overall in Pro 125 and 7-7 for 7th overall in A Open.
Jon Gagnon - A Vet - #105 - Day 1 - Jon came into the weekend with his shoulder feeling much better. He got good starts and was able to run up front and battle with the podium contenders in both motos. Jon ended up finishing 3-5 for 4th overall. Day 2 - Again Jon got great starts and was up with the front runners when he asked a bit too much of the front tire and went down. He fell back to 9th but put his head down and was able to charge up to 4th. Unadilla is known for being rocky and after eating as much roost as he did in his moto 1 battles, Jon was tired and sore, Nonetheless, he still did great and finished 4-6 for 4th overall.
Jared Drouin - B Vet - #333 - Day 1 - Jared had a great starts and was feeling good on the bike. In moto 2 his handlebar hooked a sapling that resulted in a trip over the bars. Jared was a little slow to get up from his crash but he toughed it out and finished 10-17 for 15th overall. Day 2 - Now fulling feeling just how sore his shoulder was from Saturday's crash Jared was a little tense at first. As the day went on he began to loosen up and find his flow, ending up 14-11 for 13th overall.
Support Riders:
Mike Gagnon - B 200 - #103 - Mike was involved in a pretty bad practice crash earlier in the week and will need surgery. He will miss the rest of the season. Heal up soon Mikey!
Colton McQuarrie - Mini A - #34 - I am convinced that Colton thinks that I'm bad at math so he makes it as easy as possible for me to figure out. Or it could be that he is just really good on a dirt bike. Either way, he swept the weekend winning everything he lined up for and getting 1st overall on both days.
Tyler Clattenburg - C Vet - #677 - Day 1 - Tyler had a great first race of the season finishing 8-8 for 8th overall. Day 2 - His second day wasn't too bad either. He finished 8-11 for 10th overall.
Thank you for reading. We are looking forward to the next race in Maine.
