2022 J Day - Round 13

Good Morning, For round 13, the J Day Off-Road Series made its way to the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. After several days of cold temperatures and rain, the weather turned and race day was beautiful. Here is how the Mohawk GP in Lanesborough, MA went. Team Riders: Nate Marr - Pro 125 / A Open - #84 - With his shoulder feeling better, Nate decided to race both classes again this weekend. He didn't have the best starts and struggled a little with some line choices. At one point he also shoulder checked (with the bad shoulder) a tree and rode tight for the rest of the day. On his 250 he was battling up around the 5th or 6th spot but got pretty badly hung up on the pro hill and lost a few spots. He finished 14-13 for 14th overall in Pro 125 and 12-9 for 11th overall in A Open. Jon Gagnon - A Vet - #105 - Jon had a decent start in the first moto but that turned out to be his downfall. A rider behind him that was a little late on the brakes got into the rear tire and blew his chain. The second moto went a lot better, with Jon making it through the first corner. He was at a big disadvantage because he didn't get to race moto 1 so he wasn't familiar with how the track was shaping up or the lines in the woods. He still had a solid 2nd moto though. Jon finished DNF-7 for 10th overall. Jared Drouin - B Vet - #333 - Another great race for Jared. He battled up front the whole time and traded positions quite a bit. In moto 2 he had a shot at the lead but a slippery root and a small tree said otherwise. He finished 2-3 for 3rd overall. Support Riders: Cory Desrochers - B Vet - #556 - Cory had a solid race and was able to make passes and move forward in both motos. He finished 13-8 for 10th overall. Colton McQuarrie - Mini A - #34 - Colton had an awesome race. His skills and speed in the woods were really on display at this race. It was fun to watch. Colton finished 1-1 for 1st overall. Thanks for reading!
